Full totes and happy faces!!

Unique LA was a great and fun experience, a little bit tiring after 4 hours of shopping, talking with vendors and stopping on each stand!
I found really nice ideas, very good executed and a lot of creativity.
My shopping partner was Sara, as you can see she was as happy as me with her shopping!!
In my journey around the stands some of them really caught my attention and I really want to mention them and encourage you to check their blogs and websites. You can buy online!
We started on the Green room with ecofrienly designers. I saw awesome recycled desings based on vintage watches of DUST AND CO. I could't avoid to take home some pieces!! Then we met with two very nice sisters in their eco-friendly stationery stand GREEN FINGERPRINT. Sorry girls, I didn't come back to say goodbye, but I am already fan of your blog.
Next to them it was the Weekend Store, where I bought a pair of cool typewriter key cufflinks for my favorite journalist. But you could find almost every jewelry piece made with vintage typewriter keys. Really close I found a very original and beautiful executed sustainable bookbinding TYLER BENDER BOOK CO. Talking about books I met this nice girl and her fun and original book-bags, aren't their fun?? MANDALANDA psycology book bag is so cool!

PLASTIQUE was one of the most hip jewelry designers. You can follow her in facebook here! I am trying to find the business card of the t-shirt I bought but I can't find it!! It is a pity! :-( Another fantastic stands were the photography and art onces. CHALK CHALK and Sharon Montrose photography were my favorites.
You can see my awesome shopping!!! Sorry, not all the staff I bought are in the pic because I can't reveal some Christmas gifts!! Be good boys and girls!!

Bolsas llenas y caras de felicidad!!

Unique LA ha sido una experiencia fantástica, un poquito cansada después de 4 horas de compras, hablando con los vendedores y parando en cada stand!
Encontré ideas muy buenas, bien realizadas y una abrumadora creatividad por todos lados.
Mi compañera de compras fue Sara, también podéis ver su cara sonriente, como la mía, con nuestras compritas!! Los precios estaban muy bien.
En mi paseo por los stands mis ojos se quedaban atascados en algunos de ellos, quiero mencionarlos y animaros a que entréis en sus blogs y webs, se puede comprar online también!
Comenzamos por la sala "Verde" donde estaban los diseñadores respetuosos con el medio ambiente. Me paré en el primero que era de relojes vintage reciclados convertidos en piezas de bisutería de lo más original DUST AND CO. No pude evitar llevarme conmigo algunos de sus diseños!!
Después conocimos a dos hermanas muy simpáticas en su puesto de preciosos artículos de escritorio y papería GREEN FINGERPRINT. Perdonad chicas que no pasase de nuevo a despedirme pero estamos en contacto y ya soy fan de vuestro blog.
Al lado estaba The Weekend Stordone, donde compré un par de gemelos muy chulos para mi periodista favorito. Puedes encontrar cualquier pieza de bisutería a base de letras de máquinas de escribir antiguas.
Muy cerca estaba un stand de encuadernación muy original y cuidada y por supuesto "eco-friendly": TYLER BENDER BOOK CO. Hablando de libros conocí a una chica muy simpática y sus divertidos libros-bolso: MANDALANDA. No es genial el bolso-libro de psicología?
PLASTIQUE fue una de las más originales y modernas marcas de diseño de bisutería. Me voy a hacer fan en facebook ahora mismo! Estoy intentando encontrar la tarjeta de una marca de camisetas muy chulas, de hecho compré una, pero no la encuentro...:-( Es una pena. Otros stands que me encantaron fueron los de arte y fotografía. CHALK CHALK y Sharon Montrose photography fueron mis favoritos.

Aqui podéis ver mis súper compritas!! Perdón pero no aparecen todas porque no puedo revelar algunos regalos de Navidad!! je, je. Así que por si acaso portaros bien!

The Uniform Project: 1 dress 365 days

Today I discover a great idea that combines a creative and trendy sense of style and a really beautiful charity cause: The uniform project

"Starting May 2009, I have pledged to wear one dress for one year as an exercise in sustainable fashion. Here’s how it works: There are 7 identical dresses, one for each day of the week. Every day I will reinvent the dress with layers, accessories and all kinds of accouterments, the majority of which will be vintage, hand-made, or hand-me-down goodies. Think of it as wearing a daily uniform with enough creative license to make it look like I just crawled out of the Marquis de Sade's boudoir.

The Uniform Project is also a year-long fundraiser for the Akanksha Foundation, a grassroots movement that is revolutionizing education in India. At the end of the year, all contributions will go toward Akanksha’s School Project to fund uniforms and other educational expenses for children living in Indian slums."

This is Sheena, the project's founder and the person that is wearing the same dress for 365 days. Can you imagine?Everyday I am looking into my closet, trying to choose a different and nice outfit. What am I going to wear? always around my head!! She has no option, but she does so amazing!! So, girls lets accessorize!

Hoy he descubierto una gran idea que combina un creativo y trendy sentido del estilo con una bonita causa benéfica: : The uniform project

"Todo comienza en mayo de 2009, cuando decido vestir con un mismo vestido durante un año como un ejercicio de que la moda puede ser sostenible. Así es como funciona: hay 7 vestidos idénticos, uno para cada dia de la semana. Cada dia reinventaré el vestido con distintas capas, accesorios y todo tipo de elemnetos; la mayoría de ellos será vintage, hechos a mano o que me hayan dado. Pensando en llevar todos los dias un uniforme con la imaginacion suficiente para creae un look como sacado del tocador del marques del Sade.

El proyecto del uniforme es también una forma para recudar fondos durante un año para Akanksha Foundation, un movimiento de base que está revolucionando la educación en India. Al final del año todas las contribuciones irán dirigidas al Proyecto Escaolar de Akanksha para costear los uniformes y otros gastos escolares para niños de barrios pobres en India"

Esta es Sheena, la fundadora del proyecto y la persona que va a llevar el mismo vestido 365 dias. Os haceis a la idea? Yo que estoy cada día mirando en mi armario intentando elegir un modelito mono y diferente, con la gran pregunta en la cabeza, que me pongo?? Ella no tiene opción pero no parece que lo necesite!! Está genial en cada uno de los looks! Asi que chicas, agarrad ese pequeño vestido negro y vamos a accesorizarnos!!

Little Muse with The showgirl and the clown at Universal Studios

Antes de nada, os recomiendo que veais este video musical llamado THE SHOWGIRL AND THE CLOWN del album en 2009"Ate" de Heartour por Jason Young.

These are some of the pictures I took during this great video shooting. I am really thankful to Chuchie Hill (Video director and Producer), Mathilde Caillol (Video Producer) and Jason Young (Video Executive Producer) because they invite me to participate in this fantastic project at Universal Studios (Los Angeles, CA).
It was an amazing experience to share this shotting with all the nice and hard worker crew. Everyone smiled and did their best! Very nice to work with all of you. Great choreography and fantastic dancers!
Aqui tenéis algunas fotos que tomé durante el rodaje de este video musical. I really thank the producers to include my name on the music video credits as art director. It was a pleasure for me to work for this creative and imaginative director. There was a small spot for Little Muse in this European street. So, I didn't hesitate to take the Garden Muses collection to this beautiful window shop. I am happy to present Little Muse shop at Universal Studios. It is a very especial moment for me and I am very proud and honored.

White October: match it different!

This is the cocktail hat and matching clutch bag that I create to wear myself for my girlfriend's Esther wedding, by the way a beautiful and super fun wedding, congrats Esther & Manu!!!
I decided to stay away from matchy-matchy shoe and clutch bag. I encourage you to match it different or do not match, it is not a style rule! ;-). I think the result was a success. My friend Marina was even far away and she wore a great outfit with a feather belt and one of Little Muse cocktail hats. I hope to show her outfit soon too. In the meanwhile here it is mine! Sorry, I am too shy to put a picture of myself, maybe next time... This is my first clutch bag creation!! I hope you like it!!

Este es el tocado y la cartera que diseñé para llevar a la boda de mi buena amiga Esther. Por cierto, fue una preciosa boda y lo pasamos genial, felicidades Esther y Manu!!!
Decidí no ir por el clásico camino de zapatos y bolso a juego. Mi consejo, intenta hacer otro tipo de conjunto o ni siquiera busques el conjunto, no es una norma de estilo! ;-). El resultado para mi fue todo un éxito. Mi amiga Marina se desmarcó más aún del "conjuntado" y llevó uno de mis tocados y con un bonito cinturón de plumas que quedaba muy original. Espero poder mostraros su estilismo pronto. Mientras tanto aqui tenéis mis diseños. Aún no me atrevo a poner una foto mía... no tengo buena pose de modelo y me da verguenza!! Esta es mi primera cartera!! Espero que os guste!!

Little Muse is very happy to present the new Headbands & Hairbands Muses Collection. It is inspired by shiny elements like sequins, jet and metal vintage buttons. Little Muse wants to give you a little bit of spark for this Autumn and Winter in a comfortable, casual and chic headbands. Each headband or headband has its own especial envelope. I hope you like them!
The entire collection has been "mailed" to Spain to a beautiful and original shop Lua Abalorios. Nevertheless Little Muse online shop will be open very soon to mail it to you.

New season of Mad Men!!

I am absolutely thrilled with the new season of Mad Men!!
When this TV show started I had to convince my husband to watch it and I was positive that this would be a hit. Today there is no doubt regarding recently Emmy awards winnings.
I had been working in marketing and testing advertising more than 5 years, so Sterling Cooper advertising agency was more real than a fiction for me sometimes because recall me this time.
I love every piece of this show Custome Design wardrobe, it is fantastic! You can find a great AMC Mad Men fashion file. You can also madmedyourself, this is me ;)
I want to try to make mine some of all the fashionable accessories women wear. I will keep you updated.

Cuando esta serie de TV empezó tuve que convencer a mi marido de que la viese. Estaba segura de que sería un éxito, con los Emmy que ganaron esta semana pasada no hay duda.
He estado trabajando en una agencia de marketing testando publicidad más de 5 años, asi que para mí la agencia de publicidad Sterling Cooper es más realidad que ficcion ya que me trae recuerdos de ese tiempo.
Me encanta cada pieza de moda del departamento de vestuario, es fantastico! Puedes encontrar en la pagina de AMC de Man Men una sección dedicada a la moda de la serie.
Tambien puedes hacerte tu propio personaje de Mad Men en madmedyourself, esta soy yo ;)
Quiero intentar hacer mío alguno de los accesorios que tan bien llevan las mujeres de esta serie. Os mantendré informados.

Loving musicals! at Hollywood Forever

I went to Hollywood Forever cemetery (by the way, what a name for a cemetery!!) for the fantastic screening organized by Cinespia . The season is already finish but note down in your agendas for the next one!! This is an unbelievable experience! Can you imagine going to a screening in a cemetery? Yes, you are surrounded by tombstones and mausoleums. Although, it is not a creepy experience.
I was lucky and enjoy Singin' in the rain with the fantastic Gene Kelly. This experience is not just to see a great film in a fantastic summer night laying on the grass. You can take your food, drinks, blankets and even cushions to be more comfortable!!! Do you need anything else?? Yes, some beautiful candles that some people brought!
In my obsession with cocktail hats I was mentally taking notes of all the dresses, accessories, styles...!! From now on movies are going to be part of my inspiration and it is so fun to see this musicals from the 40's and the 50's!!
Fui a un cementerio de Hollywood llamado Hollywood Forever, que menudo nombre para un cementerio..., a la fantastica proyeccion de una pelicula. Vamos, lo que conocemos por un cine de verano, organizada por Cinespia . La temporada ya ha terminado pero apuntar en vuestras para agendas la proxima!!
Es una experiencia inolvidable! Te imaginas ver una pelicula en un cementerio? Si, para los que os lo preguntabais, estas rodeado por tumbas y mausoleos. Pero no da mal rollo, es más un lugar pintoresco que otra cosa.
Tuve la suerte de disfrutar del maravilloso musical "Cantando bajo la lluvia" con el fantástico Gene Kelly. Pero esta experiencia no se reduce a una noche más en un cine de verano. Te tumbas en el césped, te llevas tu comida y bebida y hasta mantas y cojines para estar más cómodo!!! Se puede pedir algo más?? Si!! Velas!! que alguna gente llevó!!
En mi obsesion con los tocados, no paré de tomar notas mentales de los vestidos, accesorios, estilismos...!! De ahora en adelante, el cine va a ser parte de mi inspiracion!! Como no estando en Los Angeles?! Además es genial ver estas peliculas de los años 40 y 50!

Flappers were responsible for much of the '20 fun and craziness. Despite all the references to the name flapper and the irreverent behavior, they were known for their style, called garçonne style. They removed the corset, a great piece but not to wear every day..., from female fashion to be free to dance and move without loosing femininity, beauty and style.
Coco Chanel, Paul Poiret, and other visionary fashion designers had pivotal roles in defining the flapper style and the modern fashion vision. There is no doubt that a unique designer as Coco had to be part of this women change in life and fashion.

A pesar de todas las referencias peyorativas de este nombre y del comportamiento irreverente de estas mujeres, fueron muy conocidas e identificadas por su estilo en el vestir, se le llamó el estilo garçonne. Se deshicieron del corsé, un gran pieza en la moda pero no para llevarla todos los dias..., para poderse mover y bailar libremente sin perder la feminidad, belleza y el estilo.
Coco Chanel, Paul Poiret, y otros visionarios diseñadores de moda fueron cruciales para definir el estilo flapper. No hay duda que una diseñadora como Coco tenía que formar parte de este cambio en la vida y la moda de la mujer.

Roaring Twenties: magnificent decade

What a decade!!
This is going to be my '20 week tribute. I would love to live on this decade.
A period of social, artistic, and culture dynamism and an important moment for women's liberation when flappers redefined womanhood. I want to be a flapper!!!
The spirit of the Roaring Twenties was a step into modernity and break with traditions.
The era of dance halls and live music. People happily dancing foxtrot, charleston, lindy hop and listening to jazz, ins't it great?
It was the very beginning for the fantastic 30's Hollywood musicals. This references is a clue for next post to come. ;-)

Que fantastica década!
Esta va a ser mi semana tributo a los años 20. Me hubiese encantado vivir esta década.
Un periodo de dinamismo social, artistico y cultural, además de un momento de liberación y cambio para la mujer. Donde las llamadas flappers (chicas modernas y rompedoras) de la época ayudaron a redefinir a la mujer. Yo quiero ser una flapper!!
El espíritu de los locos años 20 fue un paso hacia la modernidad y una ruptura con las tradiciones.
La era de los salones de baile y la música en vivo. La gente felizmente bailaba foxtrot, charleston, lindy hop y escuchaba jazz, no es genial??
Fue el preludio de los fantásticos musicales de Hollywood de los años 30. Pista para uno de mis proximos posts.
Alguien me presta una máquina del tiempo?? Quien se apunta??
